The New special-needs home in Neptune is able to support four residents in seperate suites.

The opening of a unique, special-needs innovative home in Neptune has been announced by Collaborative Support Programs (CSP) of NJ and RBA Homes.
The single-family home will support four special-needs residents, living as a congregrate unit, while maintaining seperate, independent living for each person. The project was funded through the CSPNJ non-profit organization and financed through the N.J. Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency.
Many aspects of the CSP initiative are notable and innovative for a home of this type. The choice was made to work with modular builder RBA Homes and architect Bruce Constant. |

CSP's design objectives for the project were: independent living for the residents, barrier-free design (handicap-accessibility) and energy efficiency.

Constant designed the specifications, and teamed with RBA staff to make it all happen with the parameters of the modular footprint.
The 3,600-square-foot, two-story home provides four seperate suites with a bedroom, sitting room, full bath, refrigerator and microwave. There is also a common area for residents to mingle if they choose, a sitting room, cooking facility and lalundry room. |
The home is Energy Star-certified and heated and cooled with geothermal technology.

built in New Jersey," said Paul Dos

"We are very happy with the finish work of RBA, and we expect residents to move in this month, in time for the holidays." |

Pandora Jacoubs of RBA Homes said
that the project had its challenges. RBA agreed to the project under a fixed budget, and inevitatable issues came up during construction and site work, she said. "We made it work within the budget," Jacoubs said. "We just made it work."
"With RBA, it was not difficult to address issues. We would definitely work with RBA again," Dos Santos Said.
